The weather has been gloomy these past couple weeks, so I felt like making this colorful look:

Most of the colors I used for this look came from the Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette
. Since the palette doesn’t have names for the colors, I’m including a picture of the palette where I circled the colors that I used. This is also a good way for those of you who do not have the palette to find colors similar to the ones I used.

EYES
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance (entire lid and under lower lash line)
- MAC E/S in “Femme Fi” (entire lid, including highlight/brow bone)
- MAC E/S in “Bright Sunshine” (inner corner and inner lower lash line)
- Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette – hot pink E/S (center lid – blend towards “Bright Sunshine”)
- Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette – dark purple E/S (outer V – blend towards hot pink)
- Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette – lime green E/S (center lower lash line)
- Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette – bright blue E/S (outer lower lash line)
- Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in “Black Ink” (upper lash line)
- MAC Eye Kohl in “Smolder” (lower waterline)
CHEEKS
- MAC Powder Blush in “Harmony” (contour)
- MAC Blush in “Nuance” (on apples)
LIPS

Accidentally get mascara under your eye? It’s okay! It happens to a lot of us. Sometimes we blink too hard before the mascara is completely dry and get a little under our eye; sometimes we leave a big blob of mascara on our skin. Whether it’s a lot or a little, it’s easy to clean up. The trick is to take a dry Q-tip and lightly sweep up the mascara boo boo. Here, I swiped the Q-tip from right to left — one motion is all it took to clean up the mess.

Wasn’t that easy?
You could also take the same Q-tip and lightly swipe it on the outer corner of your eye to clean up any excess eye shadow, as I’ve done here:

The trick for cleaning up mascara on your eye lid is different — it requires taking a brush and some of the eye shadow color in the area where the mess is. I’ll save this one for another post!
Hi everyone! I’m starting a new weekly post called Fashion Friday, where I’ll share an item or outfit that I have. I like to go shopping once a week, and I try to find cute things that are not too expensive. It’ll be a fun alternative to the makeup posts I have on this site.
To kick off my Fashion Fridays, I just got this cute outfit at Macy’s today:

This is made by Grane, and it’s a 2-piece dress and shorts set called “Lemon Comb”. I got it for $49.00 regular price. The shorts was definitely the selling point for me, because I haven’t seen a dress that came with matching shorts before. This outfit is great for any kind of whether — when it’s cold out, just wear the dress with a pair of jeans or tights; when it’s hot, just slip on the shorts!

If it’s windy out, you won’t have to worry about the wind picking up your dress since you have matching shorts underneath.

I usually do this look when I’m running short on time. It’s super quick and easy to do!
