Fashion Friday: Episode 87
Posted on October 21, 2011 | Leave a CommentI was so excited to see Swarovski and Sanrio join forces to create their very first Hello Kitty Collection! I'm already a big fan of both companies, but when you put them together -- it's like a dream come true! Accessories in the collection include bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings, and clutch bags. There are also Swarovski Hello Kitty crystal figurines and much more. I was particularly excited about these two earrings, which my fiancé ended up giving to me as a surprise! Read more... -
Mod Makeup Look
Posted on October 19, 2011 | 10 CommentsIn this black and white eye shadow look, I extended a triangular shape on the tear duct to change the shape of the eye, giving it a mod/retro look. The white kohl pencil along the lower waterline also makes the eyes appear bigger. This is more of a statement makeup look that you can wear when you feel daring or on Halloween! I watched Black Swan recently, so this makeup might've been somewhat inspired by that movie. :) Read more... -
Fall Orange and Brown Makeup Look
Posted on October 17, 2011 | 2 CommentsI used MAC Pigment in "Copper Sparkle" in my Fall Makeup Look from last year, but this time I applied it on top of a much brighter orange to really bring out the color. The resulting burnt orange color stands out a lot more than the orange MAC "Rule" eye shadow I used in the previous look. "Copper Sparkle" is such a gorgeous color -- not only is it my go-to pigment every fall season, but it's also one of my favorite and most used pigments! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Episode 86
Posted on October 14, 2011 | Leave a CommentThis is a fall-friendly outfit I put together after two separate shopping trips to Free People. I first picked up this Long Reversible Fur Vest, because I loved the fact that it can be worn two ways and can be layered on top of many outfits. This maxi vest has a floral-printed side with gold details and faux-fur lining that you can also wear inside out. I wore it with a Frances Cocoon Dress that's also from Free People -- the long sleeves are perfect to keep my arms warm while wearing this vest! Read more... -
Halloween Makeup Look – Princess Peach
Posted on October 12, 2011 | 6 CommentsLast year my fiancé and I dressed up as Mario and Princess Peach for Halloween in honor of the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. Princess Peach (originally known as Princess Toadstool) is from the Mushroom Kingdom and is often rescued by Mario (but she saves him too in Super Princess Peach for Nintendo DS -- a great game, by the way!). :) We also got a Yoshi backpack and a Star wand. Check out my Princess Peach-inspired makeup look and pictures from Googleween 2010! Read more...
