Mineralize Blue and Brown Look
Posted on October 10, 2011 | 5 CommentsI didn't buy any of the new Mineralize Eyeshadow Duos that MAC released in May 2011, but I own a few of the previous ones. My favorite of the duos by far is still "Sea and Sky". Along with a marbleized sky blue color, "Sea and Sky" comes with a gorgeous medium-to-dark blue that has such an intense, rich color. This is the blue featured in this makeup look. The steps are similar to my technique for adding a pop of color to your eye shadow if you want to follow along. :) Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Episode 85
Posted on October 7, 2011 | 3 CommentsI love candy, so I was so excited to see this colorful, shiny purse made out of candy wrappers! Eco Fashions is a San Francisco-based handbag company that makes all sorts of bags, totes, and clutches out of recycled materials. This purse was handmade from excess stocks of candy wrappers that have slight misprints -- these candy wrappers would have ended up in a landfill if it weren't craftily transformed into a beautiful purse! It is also surprisingly durable and water resistant. Read more... -
Pucca Diaper Cake
Posted on October 5, 2011 | Leave a CommentMaking a diaper cake is one of the many creative things that my mom is great at, but I have never attempted. One of my friends is going to give birth this month, so I figured it's the perfect time to make my first diaper cake. Since my friend is a Pucca fan, I decided to top the cake with a Pucca doll and incorporate Pucca's colors in the ribbons of the mostly baby pink cake. Check out the "ingredients" and pictures for ideas on how to make your own unique and memorable gift! Read more... -
Inglot YSM Cream Foundation
Posted on October 3, 2011 | 2 CommentsInglot YSM Cream Foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation with a semi-matte finish. YSM stands for Young Skin Makeup, and it's the line of foundation from Inglot that's best suited for those looking for more of a natural look. This is a great everyday foundation that's not too expensive. Compared to similar name-brand foundations by MAC, Make Up For Ever, and Bobbi Brown, this foundation is only $15.00 for the same amount of product! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Episode 84
Posted on September 30, 2011 | 6 CommentsYou'll be seeing more clothing and accessories from Free People featured in my Fashion Fridays, since that's where I've been doing all my shopping lately. I liked the Swalesdale Texture Shrug that I wrote about last Friday so much that I ended up getting one in Grey. I wore this gray shrug with a Floral Lace Fit and Flare Dress that's also from Free People. The dress is gray with lavender lining, and it has long sleeves that are great for cooler fall weather.
