Fashion Friday: My Valentino Wedding Shoes
Posted on October 12, 2012 | 4 CommentsI wrote about the first pair of shoes I purchased for my wedding back in June -- although my heart absolutely loved the Chanel pumps, my head was constantly reminding me that I would have a difficult time dancing, walking, and even just standing in them. I actually didn't think to consider looking for ankle booties for the wedding, but once I found these I knew they would be a dramatic and romantic alternative to typical bridal pumps/sandals! Fashion Friday: Chanel Pearl Pumps
Posted on June 1, 2012 | 3 CommentsI originally bought this beautiful pair of Chanel Pearl Pumps for my wedding. These two-toned satin pumps are covered in elegant ivory pearls and have a black sequin cap toe. The back of the shoes have a stripe of black sequins adorned with a gold CC logo. This Chanel pump is available in very limited quantities at Neiman Marcus. Since I am no longer saving these heels for the wedding, I decided to finally post pictures of them! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Military-Inspired Jacket
Posted on March 23, 2012 | 1 CommentOne of my biggest shopping regrets was not getting a gorgeous military-inspired cape when I had the chance in November 2010. By the time I realized how much I wanted it, the cape was nowhere to be found. I've been searching for similar military-inspired outerwear with gold embroidery and buttons ever since. The closest I've found so far is this Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren jacket -- although it's not as elegant as my cape-that-got-away, there are elements that remind me of it. :) Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Dropwaist Mini Dress
Posted on March 16, 2012 | Leave a CommentAlthough green is present in my wardrobe, it is definitely not one of the dominant colors. I began to realize that when I do buy something green, it usually happens in early March. I don't intentionally hunt for a new green outfit just for St. Patrick's Day, but I have a feeling that maybe there's some correlation there. :) This green dress caught my eye two weeks ago at Anthropologie, not just because of the vibrant emerald color but also the drop waist design that creates an illusion of height. Fashion Friday: Purple Denim
Posted on March 2, 2012 | Leave a CommentColorful denim pants are great for transitioning from gloomy to brighter months while still keeping you warm. Although I've seen them in many bold colors over the past few months, I couldn't find one that was not too bright yet not too dull. When I saw these purple denim pants at Anthropologie, I really liked how the color is just enough to be interesting but isn't screaming for attention. Thanks to the gray undertone, this shade of purple is exactly what I was looking for! Read more...
