    Fashion Friday: Episode 63

The weather has been really nice lately, so I wanted to get some new shorts. I bought two shorts from Anthropologie that are both featured on their new May 2011 catalog. The blue Gerbera Shorts has beautiful brown embroidery of African daisies on both front and back. These shorts are cut straight without any pleating, so I love how they don't flare out. The other pair of shorts has dragonfly print, and it comes with a sash made of the same fabric. Read more...

    Fashion Friday: Episode 62

One of my favorite recent clothing purchases is this blue ribbed cropped open jacket. It's so comfortable and just thick enough to keep me warm during nice but windy spring and summer days. This jacket also works well with a lot of outfits -- I've already worn it with skirts, skinny jeans, and maxi dresses! In these pictures, I'm wearing it with a red spring flower dress that has a nice ruffle around the neckline. Read more...

    Fashion Friday: Episode 61

I like using coral in my makeup looks, but I realized that I don't really have any coral clothing or accessories. So when I went to my favorite nearby indie clothing and gift boutique, I came across this cute coral dress and knew I had to have it! This Cross Ruffles Tunic Dress by Hot & Delicious has ruffles that start on top of the left shoulder and goes all the way diagonally to the bottom right side of the dress. It's also detailed with tiny silver bead trim on the edges of all the ruffles! Read more...

    Fashion Friday: Episode 60

In addition to the floral trend I wrote about in last week's Fashion Friday, sheer lace is in for spring/summer 2011. A design that I've been particularly drawn to is a long lacy skirt that has a mini skirt underneath. I got this Reformed by The Reformation Blanche Skirt at Urban Outfitters. It adds an interesting feminine touch to an outfit. You can also wear it over a solid colored skirt to add a pop of color or leggings to make an edgier look! Read more...

    Fashion Friday: Episode 59

The floral trend is back for Spring 2011. Whether I'm out shopping or just looking at magazines, I've been seeing a lot of prints with flowers of all shapes, sizes, and colors! When I saw this Infinite Garden Tank at Anthropologie, I really liked how the flowers are detailed and aren't as overwhelming as a lot of the prints I've seen. The fabric is lightweight and perfect for warmer weather! Read more...
