Steel Blue and Brown Look
Posted on June 22, 2011 | 4 CommentsThis is a look using one of my favorite MAC Pro pigments called "Steel Blue". This deep turquoise green blue pigment has a gold undertone that shows up depending on how the light hits it. I like wearing this pigment wet, because it really makes the color more intense and brings out more of the golden tones. Read more... -
Subtle Blue and Green Look
Posted on May 2, 2011 | 10 CommentsThis makeup look combines both blue and green in a subtle way so that it's not too overpowering yet can still make a bold statement. A few years ago, I didn't wear much blue or green eye shadow, but now I love incorporating them in my makeup! I found it helpful to start with adding a little blue or green somewhere in your makeup look before you start using more of them. This subtle blue and green look is a good transition to using more of these bright colors (and it's nice for daytime, too!). :) Read more... -
Blue and Coral Look
Posted on April 4, 2011 | 1 CommentI recently got some OCC Lip Tars from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, and my favorite of the ones I have so far is called "Grandma". This lip color is a beautiful true coral. I usually pick my lipstick color after I've come up with my eye shadow look, but this "Grandma" was so pretty that I came up with this blue and coral makeup look to go along with it. Read more... -
Cyan and Dark Blue Look
Posted on February 21, 2011 | 8 CommentsThis is a smokey dark blue makeup look with a touch of cyan on the lid. This is my first look using MAC Pro Pigment in "Hi-Def Cyan". Since these are two different shades of the same color (blue), blending the two is a cinch! I wore this makeup to match my navy blue dress (with splashes of cyan) that I wrote about in a previous Fashion Friday. Read more... -
Shimmery Blue Look
Posted on December 8, 2010 | 2 CommentsShimmery eye makeup is a great way to glam up your look for the holidays and special occasions. Shimmer is an easier alternative to glitter, because you still get some sparkle without the extra steps glitter usually requires to stay on for a long time. I focused on blue shimmer for this look, but you can use any shimmery color on your lid and a darker shade of the same color on your outer V. Also, check out a picture of me (wearing this makeup) with American Idol finalist Jasmine Trias. :) Read more...
