Gray, Brown, and White Look
Posted on May 11, 2011 | 32 CommentsFor this look, I applied a shimmery white eye shadow on my lid just below my crease and surrounded it with dark brown and gray colors. The contrast created by using light and dark colors makes this a dramatic nighttime look. I applied a bright pop of color on my lips to make them stand out. I used Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics OCC Lip Tar in "Harlot" -- it's a gorgeous vibrant cherry red with a coral undertone. Read more... -
Glittery Teal and Brown Look
Posted on April 11, 2011 | 10 CommentsI've been holding onto a gorgeous MAC Pro Glitter in "Turquoise" for a couple months now, and I finally got around to using it! I put it on top of one of my favorite Inglot eye shadow colors -- a matte teal ("372"). The glitter sparkles so much more than these pictures show! If you don't have this MAC Pro glitter, any cosmetic grade turquoise glitter will do! Read more... -
Brown with Gold Glitter Look
Posted on March 23, 2011 | 7 CommentsI used Inglot eye shadows from the Freedom System neutral palette I put together when I visited Inglot's London location back in November. I also used MAC "Reflects Antique Gold" glitter to add some sparkle to the look. I added the glitter after I finished applying all of my eye shadow -- water-based mixing medium helps the glitter stay on the lid! Read more... -
Old Hollywood Glam Makeup Look
Posted on February 9, 2011 | 9 CommentsThis simple yet sophisticated makeup look is all about keeping your eye shadow minimal and wearing a bold red lipstick. These are characteristics of old Hollywood glamour. Many of today's stars like Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, and Gwen Stefani are often seen wearing this type of vintage makeup for award shows as well as everyday. The best thing about this makeup is that you can wear it during the day and into the night, and it doesn't take long to do! Read more... -
tokidoki Robbery Palette Look
Posted on December 31, 2010 | 4 CommentsThis look features the Royal Pride Palette, my favorite of the three removable palettes that come with the tokidoki Robbery Palette I recently reviewed. Royal Pride Palette has really pigmented copper, gold, rust, and brown eye shadows, and it is the only palette that comes with a bronzer (the other two come with blush). See how they all look together in this makeup look! Read more...
