I wanted to give my 40-pan Freedom System palette some more attention, so I came up with another all Inglot eye shadow look using colors I haven’t tried before. When I was looking at my palette to determine what colors I wanted to use, my eyes were drawn to four colors that were next to each other — aqua/turquoise blues and greens. The end result turned out to be a colorful spring look! This would also be fun to wear on Easter.
Don’t get pinched this St. Patrick’s Day for not wearing green! I’ll be wearing green makeup, of course. I’ve been liking the MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadows I’ve purchased so far, so I decided to get another one. Since the colors I got previously were browns, I picked out this bright kelly green eye shadow called “Fresh Flare”. The color is similar to MAC Pro Pigment in “Kelly Green” (see my Fun Green Makeup Look), and it’s easier to apply!
With the sun shining more often these past few days, I felt like creating this springtime look. Some green peeks out on the lid from the dark brown eye shadow on the outer lid — this makes me think of the green buds that start to appear on tree branches this time of year. The pink color is the only non-matte eye shadow I used. The shimmer of the pink eye shadow is concentrated just along the crease, giving an interesting yet subtle effect.
This is a makeup look I came up with when I was in Hawaii last month. I’ve worn it a couple times since then, because it’s a fun colorful look with a dash of glitter! The glitter was a last minute decision that I added after I had already put my eye shadow, liner, and mascara. I like how it gives just enough sparkle to your eye makeup without taking away from all the pretty colors.
For this colorful makeup look, I felt like using a combination of some of my favorite eye shadow brands — Inglot, Make Up For Ever, and MAC. I wore it with a bright orange lipstick to bring out the little bit of orange I used on my lid. Alternatively, you can wear a nude lip or a lighter coral lip color to keep the focus of all the bright, bold colors only on your eyes.
