Christmas Tree Makeup Look
Posted on December 14, 2011 | 8 CommentsI've been making mix CDs for my mom ever since I got my first CD burner sometime in the 90s. One of my favorites is a Christmas mix that has a song about a lonely Christmas tree. My mom really liked this song after hearing it once on the radio, but she didn't know most of the lyrics. I eventually surprised her with it in my mix CD. This makeup look is inspired by Stevie Wonder's "One Little Christmas Tree" -- it has a little tree standing in the snow lighting up a gray sky with its gold star. :) Read more... -
Mod Makeup Look
Posted on October 19, 2011 | 10 CommentsIn this black and white eye shadow look, I extended a triangular shape on the tear duct to change the shape of the eye, giving it a mod/retro look. The white kohl pencil along the lower waterline also makes the eyes appear bigger. This is more of a statement makeup look that you can wear when you feel daring or on Halloween! I watched Black Swan recently, so this makeup might've been somewhat inspired by that movie. :) Read more... -
Halloween Makeup Look – Princess Peach
Posted on October 12, 2011 | 7 CommentsLast year my fiancé and I dressed up as Mario and Princess Peach for Halloween in honor of the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. Princess Peach (originally known as Princess Toadstool) is from the Mushroom Kingdom and is often rescued by Mario (but she saves him too in Super Princess Peach for Nintendo DS -- a great game, by the way!). :) We also got a Yoshi backpack and a Star wand. Check out my Princess Peach-inspired makeup look and pictures from Googleween 2010! Read more... -
Halloween Makeup Look – Old Age
Posted on October 28, 2010 | 10 CommentsHave you ever thought about being an older version of yourself for Halloween? If so, all you need are three powders (or creams or matte eye shadows) in white, medium brown, and dark brown to create this look! I applied Old Age makeup on my older sister to make her look a little bit older on her birthday (yes, that was pretty evil of me, but she had a lot of fun posing for pictures with her new look haha ;)). Here's how her transformation turned out! Read more... -
Halloween Makeup Look – Hello Kitty
Posted on October 21, 2010 | 5 CommentsI wanted to create a look using the MAC Pro Acrylic Paints I wrote a review about a couple weeks ago. The Acrylic Paint colors I have are white, black, and yellow, so I realized those are the only colors I need to do a Hello Kitty Halloween look! Since it was already past midnight when I decided to do this, I made this look very quick and easy! This can be a really cheap Halloween costume, since you can just wear this makeup and headband with a red dress you already have in your closet. Read more...
