Light Green and Pink Makeup Look
Posted on March 7, 2012 | 2 CommentsWith the sun shining more often these past few days, I felt like creating this springtime look. Some green peeks out on the lid from the dark brown eye shadow on the outer lid -- this makes me think of the green buds that start to appear on tree branches this time of year. The pink color is the only non-matte eye shadow I used. The shimmer of the pink eye shadow is concentrated just along the crease, giving an interesting yet subtle effect. Read more... -
Bright Purple and Pink Makeup Look
Posted on February 20, 2012 | 8 CommentsAfter picking out an outfit that was all black and white, I decided to wear bright makeup to add some color to my overall look. I turned to the Make Up For Ever purple and pink matte eye shadows to create this vibrant eye makeup. I wore this with a lipstick color that looks like these two eye shadows mixed together -- it's a deep, fuchsia berry called "Rebel" by MAC. Read more... -
“For Effect” Gray and Pink Look
Posted on November 16, 2011 | 8 CommentsThis is the first makeup look I came up with using MAC Limited Edition Paint Pot in "For Effect" (see my review). To make the Inglot gray eye shadow bolder and to add more sparkle to the lid, I used For Effect first as a base on my lid and then applied the eye shadow on top of it. I also applied a matte pink eye shadow to tie in the new MAC "Rebel" lipstick I just bought. :) Read more... -
Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette Look
Posted on November 9, 2011 | 8 CommentsI wasn't sure if I should buy the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette at first, since I'm very much content with my Naked Palette. However, I was sold after swatching Junkshow (bright pink with fuchsia shift) and Deep End (bright teal shimmer) -- they're gorgeous (and the other colors are nice too)! Here's my first look using this palette, featuring Junkshow and Deep End as pops of colors to this otherwise neutral look. :) Read more... -
Bright Orange and Pink Look
Posted on July 27, 2011 | 6 CommentsTo further emphasize my love for Make Up For Ever's bright matte eye shadows, here's a really bright look using a neon pink ("75") and vibrant matte orange ("18"). These eye shadows are so pigmented that the color will stay as intense the whole day. Another great thing I love about these bright matte MUFE eye shadows is that the color you see on the pan is how it shows up on your eyes, as you can see in these pictures! Read more...
