  • Make Up For Ever Purple Makeup Look - July 18th, 2011
  • I thought I’d have some fun creating a really purple Make Up For Ever look. I used three MUFE eye shadows and a MUFE lipstick here, but as always you can just find similar colors in your own stash (though MUFE has some beautiful bold eye shadow colors). Since all the eye shadows I used were matte, I chose a lipstick with a pearly finish for a different effect.

  • Colorful Makeup Look - June 29th, 2011
  • I felt like coming up with this colorful vibrant look now that summer is here. The colors are very tropical — it makes me want to go to Hawaii! :) The purple eye shadow I used is one of the prettiest purple shades I’ve come across — Make Up For Ever “92”. I also used a limited edition turquoise pigment — MAC “Surf USA” eye shadow (from the MAC Surf, Baby! Collection that’s in stores now) or any other bright turquoise eye shadow will work too! :)

  • Purple and Green Look - May 23rd, 2011
  • This look features one of my favorite green eye shadows from Inglot Cosmetics. I also used other Inglot colors — two shades of purple on the outer V and crease and a light pink color for highlight. For fun, I created a subtle double-winged line for my eyeliner and flicked a lime green gel liner that’s similar in color to the green eye shadow between the two wings.

  • MAC “Quite Cute” Lipstick + Look - May 9th, 2011
  • I’m always drawn to purple lipsticks, so I ended up getting MAC’s “Quite Cute” lipstick from their newest collection of the same name. This limited edition lipstick has a semi-opaque pale lavender color and has a cremesheen finish. Here are my thoughts on this lipstick and a purple makeup look to go along with it!

  • Smokey Purple and Black Look - February 28th, 2011
  • This makeup look shows how you can easily add another color to transform the classic black smokey eye. I applied a purple color on the outer V and crease to frame the black on the lid. I also put some purple glitter along the lower lash line for fun. :) For the rest of my makeup, I stuck to contouring and highlighting (no blush) and wore a nude lip to keep the focus on my eyes.
