MAC Glitter and Ice Paint Pot in “For Effect”
Posted on November 14, 2011 | 2 CommentsMAC released their Glitter and Ice Collection for Holiday 2011 at the end of October. There are three limited edition Paint Pots included in this collection, and this black with pearl one called "For Effect" is the one that impressed me the most. The color can look anything between a light gray to a gunmetal gray/black depending on how much you apply. This paint pot is great for smokey and wintery makeup looks! See pictures of swatches and how I like to apply it -- the silver sparkle is so pretty! Read more... -
MAC “Half-Wild” Paint Pot
Posted on September 26, 2011 | 1 CommentI happened to be at my local MAC when they launched their Fall 2011 collection called Posh Paradise. Although this collection includes 10 Mattene Lipsticks and 2 Nail Lacquers, my eyes went directly to the 8 limited edition Paint Pots! I got this red-based mid-tone purple called "Half-Wild". I like using paint pots as a base, but they can also be worn alone. To give you an idea of how Half-Wild can transform the color of an eye shadow when used as a base, check out the swatches! Back to MAC Recycling Program
Posted on September 21, 2011 | 4 CommentsBack to MAC (Back2Mac/B2M) is a program at MAC Cosmetics that rewards customers for recycling their empty containers. When you turn in 6 containers that have plastic, you receive either a free lipstick at a MAC counter in a department store or a free lipstick, lip gloss, or single eye shadow at a freestanding MAC store. Here are some examples of items you can bring in as well as pictures of what I traded and got for free! Read more... -
MAC “Quite Cute” Lipstick + Look
Posted on May 9, 2011 | 4 CommentsI'm always drawn to purple lipsticks, so I ended up getting MAC's "Quite Cute" lipstick from their newest collection of the same name. This limited edition lipstick has a semi-opaque pale lavender color and has a cremesheen finish. Here are my thoughts on this lipstick and a purple makeup look to go along with it! Read more... -
MAC Peacocky Collection + EOTD
Posted on January 24, 2011 | 7 CommentsMAC's Peacocky Collection is made up of Mega Metal Shadows and Kissable Lipcolours that come in a wide range of colors from neutral to very bold. The metallic Mega Metal Shadows have a smooth texture that's easily blendable with great color payoff. The Kissable Lipcolours combine the creamy pigment-rich look of a lipstick with the smooth glide of a lip gloss. Read more...
