Pink Polka Dot Nails
Posted on February 14, 2013 | Leave a CommentI've been saving this box of Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in "Pink-a-dot" for almost a year now. This design was one of five limited edition nail strips for Spring 2012, but you can still find them on Amazon! I actually wrote about buying these nail strips last April, and I considered applying them pretty much every time I did my nails since then. I guess I was saving these cute pink polka dots to wear for Valentine's Day all along. :) Read more... -
Sparkly New Year Nails
Posted on January 2, 2013 | 1 CommentI want to wish you all a very Happy New Year! Now that the holidays are over, I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in "470 Lust-rous" to give myself both a manicure and pedicure for New Year's Eve (click here to see a step-by-step tutorial). I take my time applying these Sally Hansen nail strips (meaning I don't skip any of the prep steps), so I get a good amount of wear time with these (about 2 weeks). Here's to a sparkly 2013! :) Read more... -
Essie “Mint Candy Apple” Polish and “Pure Pearlfection” Luxeffects Top Coat
Posted on May 3, 2012 | Leave a CommentOn my search for a true mint-colored nail polish, I came across this Essie Nail Polish in "Mint Candy Apple" at my local CVS drugstore a couple months ago. I finally got around to trying it last weekend, and I really love the color! Since I also just got one of the new Essie Luxeffects Top Coats, I applied "Pure Pearlfection" top coat on my ring finger just to try it out. Luxeffects are textured top coats that can be applied on top of any nail color to add dazzle to your nails. Read more... -
Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips – Limited Edition Spring 2012
Posted on April 18, 2012 | 1 CommentWhenever I go to the drug store, I'm on the lookout for the latest Sally Hansen nail strip designs. I saw a display at CVS for five limited edition designs for this spring. I ended up buying two of them -- colorful birds on a silvery white background called "Not a Peep!" and white with pink polka dots called "Pink-a-dot". Check out my previous review on these nail strips for a step-by-step guide on how to apply them! Read more... -
Essie Nail Lacquer in “Turquiose & Caicos”
Posted on February 28, 2012 | 3 CommentsMint is one of the color trends for Spring 2012. I've been seeing it everywhere... except for my closet. As the hunt continues for something mint to add to my wardrobe, I figured I'd just paint my nails a shade of mint. I bought this Essie Nail Lacquer in "Turquoise & Caicos" last summer, but I had it sitting on my vanity all this time. The color is distinctly green-based so it looks like a dark mint color. I can see myself wearing this nail polish a lot this spring and summer! Read more...
